Not only did the fires burn away land, it brought damage to almost 6,000 structures across California. There are sadly 37 non fatal injuries and at least 20 or more deaths as of Sept. 17. Many lost their homes and belongings to the fire, but survived with the hurried evacuations from the area.
Another clear effect of the fire includes the colored sky, from red to orange or yellow apocalyptic looking sky. It was another indication of grim circumstances of the fire, though the air quality had begun to be looking on the bright side for Pleasanton, the same cannot be said for the wildfires just yet. The wildfires cause an increase of airborne particles and certain hazardous air pollutants from the objects burnt from the flames. In many places with particles of higher concentration, the outdoor air was declared to be hazardous to one’s health and body. With the air quality being just as bad in both Oregon and Washington, who had both fallen prey to the blazing wildfires as well. The two have smoke stretching all the way to the East Coast and even to parts of Europe nearby. Damages caused by the California fires including the ever-growing number of acres burnt, injuries or deaths, and the disastrous air quality that had enveloped Pleasanton. With parts of California and other states still struggling with the damages from the devouring flames. Though some fires in Cali are slowly showing signs of containment and are only a couple steps away from fully having the fire in control. It is only a matter of time when the fires will be over across these states, and how much damage it can cause as it runs rampant across our land.
